The work recalls the style of previous installations (including all Liaison 1996-2000), but in reality has in its appearance a deep allegorical meaning. The figures thus acquire an iconic significance, poignant and dramatic, a material representaion of fragile and shared human conditions.

The focus on individuals (especially on the history and women) denotes the logical thread of Caorlin: an itinerary built on artistic craftsmanship and political and social activism, for works that are a symptom and manifestation of our times: obvious examples, among all, the Muro molle (1991), a tapestry-installation dedicated to the fall of the Berlin Wall, and the diptych Hic Venetia iacet (2009-10), a loving deidcation to/complaint of the birthplace of the artist, both works present in the exhibition.
