Lecture Series
From 23 January to 19 March 2024, 5.30 pm
Venice, Palazzo Mocenigo Museum
The lectures are preceded by a guided tour of the exhibition at Ca’ Pesaro.
A series of lectures exploring different aspects of the exhibition Venetian Portraiture in the Nineteenth Century, on view at Ca’ Pesaro – International Gallery of Modern Art until 1 April 2024.
A century to be rediscovered through the works of major artists such as Hayez, Molmenti, Ferrari and Lipparini. With more than 160 works on display, the exhibition tells the story of the “first century of the contemporary age” through its leading figures and recalls the landmark exhibition organised one hundred years ago, in 1923, by Nino Barbantini, the first Director of Ca’ Pesaro.
