1st PRIZE CULTURE + BUSINESS TO THE PARTNERSHIP MUVE – Mavive
Project of restyling of Palazzo Mocenigo
The partnership Fondazione Musei Civici di Venezia and Mavive Spa received the 1° PREMIO CULTURA + IMPRESA (The 1st PRIZE CULTURE + BUSINESS) for the restyling of Palazzo Mocenigo and the creation of the first itineraries dedicated to perfume in Italy.
The redesign of the museum provides a wide range of interventions that include the full restoration of the main architectural and structural elements, the restoration of antique furniture, magnificent frescoes, stuccoes and marbles of the Palace.
The new layout makes the visitor to plunge into the atmosphere of an 18th-century Venetian palace, expertly “staged” by the architect and designer Pierluigi Pizzi. In the nineteen rooms on the first floor, are exhibited fabrics, clothing and accessories dating back yo the 18th Century, part of the collection of the Centre for the History of Textiles and Costume. The new itinerary is also enriched by five rooms dedicated to the history of perfume and fragrances. This museological proposal has been committed by Mavive SpA , the main partner of this extraordinary restoration, to highlight the link between the company and the city of Venice, as well as the important role of the lagoon city for the history of perfume.
The prize has been won in a tie with Telecom Italia with the National Academy of Santa Cecilia in Rome. The projects has been judged by a jury of eight representatives of institutions and partners promoting this Award, as well as senior figures from the sectors of Culture and Communication. The evaluation criteria wanted to emphasize these elements of the partnerships: innovation, quality of execution, strategy and activation of communication, networking, social sustainability of the project, integration with CSR campaigns, budget administration, outcomes and objectives.
