The Time of Seduction

A series of talks on Giacomo Casanova between history and storytelling

In the year marking the 300th anniversary of Giacomo Casanova’s birth, the Museum of Palazzo Mocenigo presents a series of events conceived as accompanying initiatives to the exhibition The Seducer, on view until 27 July 2025.

The talks – accompanied by theatrical performances or readings – will offer insights into one of the most iconic and fascinating figures in Venetian history, touching on a variety of themes: from fashion to textiles and perfumes, from theatre to the masks of Carnival and Commedia dell’Arte, and finally Casanova himself, between myth and reality.
